So I'm not doing so great with keeping up with the blog...so much for a New Year's Resolution! It's been a busy month so far. New Years weekend we went to MD to visit Shannon and baby Brady. It was a great long weekend and so fun to catch up with Shannon. She is such an amazing mom and Brady is the cutest baby ever. Then we gave ourselves a weekend at home to clean the house, take down the Christmas tree and decorations, and just spend time relaxing. We had an impromptu gathering that Saturday night and had everyone over for pizza. Margie brought her Wii and Just Dance 2 (a dancing game where you follow directions on the screen) Mark had a blast and I've added an additional post with the video so that everyone can see how much fun Mark had :)

Then the next weekend we were off to Hickory to celebrate our 5th Christmas with my dad and Karin. We have a great time hanging out and the dogs had a blast stalking the cats! We even got a new laptop for Christmas! This weekend we stayed around town. Friday night we went bowling and I kicked Mark's butt...only by a few points though! Saturday Liz was in town and I got to spend time having lunch and a manicure with her. She moved to Texas after she got married in May, and although we had only seen each other once a month, its been really sad to not have her around. It was so great to have her back, I've missed our monthly dinner dates to Olive Garden! Mark got to spend plenty of time playing his video games this weekend, which is his big stress reliever.

We also spent a lot of time at Church this weekend. We really love our Church and have been trying to get more and more involved. We have been going to Summit Church for a year and half now, and are really feeling called to be more than just visitors. We joined a small group back in August, which actually has turned out to be a large group (20+ of us each week). Even with so many of us, its been great to get to know everyone, spend time studying the bible, and building new friendships. I'm so glad that we joined and it has motivated us to be better Christians and to be more involved in our Church. This weekend we attended "Frontline", which is a training program for those who want to serve. I'm hoping to be more involved in the nursrey/preschool program; i served a week or two a year ago but didn't stick with it. Mark isn't sure where exactly he wants to serve, but is thinking either in productions (working the soundboard, media, etc) or first impressions (greeting people, ushering people, or serving coffee). We'll see where he ends up!

Alright thats all for now! I'm hoping to keep up with this blog better and will hopefully post again sometime in the next week or so!
